Oakley Radar Path

Oakley Radar Path

The Radar Pitch, Path and Range replace the popular Oakley M-Frame as sports/cycling sunglasses and is a popular alternative to the Jawbone. The built quality is what you would expect from a pair of Oakleys (that´s to say it is good!). We found that the Radar Path felt the most comfortable out of the three and the black, iridium covered polarized lenses supplied worked best in brighter weather. As you can see from the picture they come in a fast array of frame and lens colours to suit your personal taste and weather conditions. Oakley offer a pinky/orange lens for overcast days and we found them to be superbly affective and would be sound choice moving into the winter months.

They are lightweight and rattle free and yet fit your face in all the right places offering good protection from dirt, insects and most importantly sunlight. They offer excellent all round vision thanks to the frame shape and enough ventilation on the hotter days. The Radar´s are supplied with two nose pieces depending on your face shape and they are very easy to change around.

As with all Oakley sunglasses they are higher in price to many of its competitors. The standard Radar will set you back £190, whilst the Polarized version costs £220. Expect to pay more still for the limited edition models.

Changing the lenses on the Radar´s isn´t as easy as it is on the Jawbone as you don´t have the luxury of the Switchlock system. It does feel like you are going to break the lenses when pushing them apart from the frame. That said, we have changed the lenses numerous times in recent months and never caused so much as a scratch to the lenses or frames.

Should you buy a pair? If they fit your face shape then YES and you will not be disappointed, but do ensure that you try a pair on before buying. Some of the team here found that the Jawbone or Flak Jacket models fitted their faces better.
