Throughout my life I have always been passionate about sports. In my younger years that passion led me to Martial Arts. By my late teens it was running and by my early 20's it was cycling. Swimming was one of those things that I learnt as a child but never really applied myself to.
In the summer of 2009 I entered my 1st triathlon. It was a sprint event and when I crossed the finish line I realized two things; firstly that I was knackered and secondly that I had found a sport that I really really enjoyed. I entered a few more sprint events in the following months, and, when I moved to Lanzarote in early 2010 decided to up the training to the next level by joining a local club and entering for the Volcano Triathlon. Completing that event led me to where I am today, preparing for the Lanzarote Ironman 2011.
To achieve this mammoth task I have drafted in the help of Keith, a coach with the British Triathlon Federation. With his help and guidance I will cross the finish line on 21st May 2011 in under 14 hours! Each week I will add my latest training schedule to this site and add my comments of the previous week. Please feel free to comment of each weeks schedule. Happy Training!
